If you are looking for a unique opportunity to serve others, make new 朋友 and learn new skills, consider volunteering for UofL Hospital and UofL Brown Cancer Center. We depend a great deal on our volunteers and their gift of time. As we grow and change, volunteers are needed to meet our changing environment.
As a volunteer, you 可以 enjoy a genuine sense of satisfaction from helping our staff in giving high quality, compassionate care to our patients and 游客. Each year our volunteers contribute tens of thousands of hours helping us provide high quality care to our patients, 游客, and community. They bring cheerful smiles and unhurried care to our patients, their families, 朋友, our physicians and staff.

If you have a desire to help others, we have wonderful options for you. We are always developing new programs and looking for new ways to support our customers.
If you are willing to give four hours a week, we have a position for you! We ask all of our new volunteers to give a minimum of 40 hours of service to our organization. We allow flexible scheduling for most of our volunteers, so you 可以 plan your service around your lifestyle.

If you wish to apply for a volunteer position, please complete the application. Once we have received your application we will contact you to arrange for an interview.

Once you have completed all volunteer forms you will be contacted to:
• Meet and interview
• Find assignment
• Complete orientation
• Complete forms for background check
• Bring in immunization forms, take your picture for ID badge, have a TB test completed
Tuberculosis Skin Test
Everyone who wishes to volunteer must have a Mantoux 2 Step Tuberculosis Skin Test (TBT). This is given free of charge in our Health Office. If you 可以 provide documentation of receiving a TBT Skin Test within the past 12 months, only one TBT is required. Otherwise, you will need to have the 2 Step TBT done. This is a requirement for all employees and volunteers. You need to provide a copy of your Immunization Record with proof of the MMR (Measles, 流行性腮腺炎, Rubella) vaccine.
Criminal Records 搜索
This is a routine check done on all adult volunteers and team members. The amount of time it takes for us to receive the results varies. There is no charge to you for the background check.

Once the application process is completed, TB Skin Tests are completed, and background check is returned satisfactory, we will contact appli可以t with a schedule, sign in procedure, and 志愿者 Number.
志愿者 generally serve about four hours a week, wear a uniform, a name tag and sign in-and-out each time they volunteer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask during the interview or give call us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
